Barborka

In the summer of 2006, little Barborka came to visit us with her mom – my cousin Gretka. Barborka really bonded with me during those few days together, so she didn’t mind when I took her pictures. It was also a unique experience for me because I hadn’t photographed any children before. While taking the photos, I rode on her wave – I watched her play and interactions with me. I think we both enjoyed it.

I dedicate these photographs to Sonička – my dear aunt and Barborka’s grandmother, who is no longer with us. These photos of her granddaughter were among her favorites, which I always noticed in the display case when visiting their apartment…
