Outsider

“She’s such an outsider,” said a teacher at the 8-year high school I attended. The teacher often conducted various personality tests with us and then evaluated them in front of everyone. However, this statement apparently stemmed purely from her observation.

I admit that I might not be naturally a very sociable person. But this label, which I received at the high school, accompanied me throughout my entire studies at this school. I saw no reason to behave differently. Why get involved, seek common interests? After all, I’m an outsider…

I am not sticking labels on children. Just like real stickers, when they’re stuck on for too long, they’re very hard to peel off…
